Bespoke

We pride ourselves on our tradition of making hand-crafted dance footwear here in the United Kingdom. All of our International Dance Shoes are made here in our factory in Milton Keynes, which is close to the historic British shoe making hub of Northamptonshire. When the business was started in 1981, our location was chosen because of it's close proximity to this area for the ease of being near suppliers, plus it's not too far from London.

Making shoes here in the UK is one of many things that make us different from most other dance shoe brands. We can be really flexible, and this is demonstrated by the wide ranging 'made to order' shoes that are available. If a dancer needs a wider or narrower fitting, or would like a lower or higher heel to what we typically stock, we can make it. A dance shoe has to fit like a glove and it has to be really comfortable, so offering choice in this respect makes us the only choice for many dancers.

In addition to being flexible in fittings, and heel choices, dancers can get creative when it comes to the look too.

Most of our designs can be made in different colours to what are shown across our website. This flexibility is just one of the reasons why we've been working with BBC's 'Strictly Come Dancing' since its very first series! We often post customers colourful creations on our Instagram, so be sure to follow us! Take a look around this page at some examples of our creative work!

If you have any queries at all, or would like to learn more, request a fitting or ask us if something very particular is possible, then please either call us on +44(0)1908 319937 or email us at sales@ids-danceshoes.co.uk. As a guide, we say there is a 3-5 week lead time on 'Bespoke Orders' and there is a surcharge (plus they're non-returnable/non-refundable).
