DANCE TALK

FAVOURITE DANCE: Eric: Foxtrot & Waltz | Charlotte: Foxtrot, and if given the right music number maybe all of the dances.

FAVOURITE COMPETITION/VENUE: Eric: British Open in Blackpool | Charlotte: For sure, the British Open in Blackpool.

BEST MOMENT OF YOUR CAREER: Dancing the Final in Blackpool in 2012 and having the best feeling ever and getting the confirmation of being 3rd overall but with winning the Waltz and second in Foxtrot. And of course with our first ever Final in Blackpool in 2003. I ran up the floor when I heard my name being called and our feet did not touch the ground from joy.

HOW TO PREPARE FOR A COMPETITION: Practice, dedication and willpower. But what is most important is to get in to the zone by coming to London a week prior to the big event and only think about dancing. Lessons and practice then lessons and practice again every day for a week prior to a big event. But the best is to do as much competitions we can to help us perform better. 

HOW TO RELAX AFTER A COMPETITION: Take the pressure a bit off the practice but just keep practicing as we feel it is the best relaxation. There is always another competition coming soon again. Always be prepared.

MOST RESPECTED OPPONENT COUPLE: We have respect for all our competitors we have met over all the years. They all made us better dancers.

ADVICE FOR ANY YOUNG DANCER READING THIS: Always learn the best footwork/technique, then the rest will come. Stay focus and work hard. But most of all ENJOY what you are doing. That will show off the best you can become.

WHY CHOOSE INTERNATIONAL DANCE SHOES?: Because they are the best and are always improving the shoes by listenning very good to the top couples. It is a modern company who wants like us to go for the best they can achieve.

WHAT ARE THE MOST IMPORTANT FEATURES OF A DANCE SHOE?: Quality and comfort. But the best is always getting better. The feeling with the floor is incredible.
